We are an Independent Family business run
by Stuart Somerville who is the son of the founder. We have a very
able staff headed by Alan Brown our manager, John Knight our
drainage specialist, Keith Varney our handtools specialist and
Bernie Barrick who looks after the accounts. Between us we are
confident that we can tackle and resolve any problem our customers
may have within our field. |

We have a very comprehensive stock range of the usual
'Heavyside' building materials but our real strength lies in clay
and concrete drainage and groundwork products. We have excellent
loading and unloading facilities in the yard and we have a modern
fleet of lorries, which can offer mechanical offloading. Our
accounts are fully computerised. Our invoices are clear and easy to
understand. Price and stock queries are dealt with on a same day
basis. |

Apart from a setback during the war years
the company has enjoyed steady growth serving builders and
householders in the Enfield and surrounding areas. In 1964 Mr.
Somerville's son Stuart joined the Company. The yard, originally
rented from the Railways, is now our own and we operate from a
modern brick building, which is a landmark in
Enfield. |
